GGCA was formed and organized back on January 15, 2007; by Mrs. Sandra Coles, Founder and Mrs. Devon Wilford-Said, Co-Founder in order to formulate a community association for decision making to represent the East Baltimore Midway & Barclay neighborhoods. GGCA wish to thank the Rev. Donald Palmore & his Assistant for allowing us the space to hold our community meetings at The New Good Samaritan Baptist Church. God Bless You!

PURPOSE

1. The purpose of the association is to ensure that people who live, work, and worship in the East Baltimore Midway, Barclay and Greater Greenmount neighborhoods are actively determining the future of their built environment.

2. To implement community development and community building projects that improve the social, economic and physical conditions of the neighborhood, foster resident leadership, and promote resident participation.

3. To maintain community involvement with an open and continued uplift of a collaborative community and establish new partnerships with community associations, businesses, local, federal, and state governments, the private sector, and individuals that supports the mission.

MISSION STATEMENT

The primary mission for the Greater Greenmount Community Association is:

1. To maintain community involvement, and the continued uplifting for a collaborative community.

2. To promote community awareness, maintain affordable housing and hands on approach with regards to development within the boundaries of the Greater Greenmount Community Association.

3. To improve living conditions and personal pride through continued workshops, seminars, community outreach, publications, meetings w/developers, participation in vital activities and association with other community organizations.
